This garden shrub is quite popular in Trinidad and Tobago. Mathematicians may be fascinated by the spiral arrangement of the stems. when the buds are open, the four petal flower make up a cluster in which the shape of a bulb. This may comprise of 50 flowers commonly in yellow or deep orange. The plant also produces a berry.
